My Story: Rebecca Beardsmore
Senior HR Generalist - UK
Waddington® Europe Bridgwater and Milton Keynes
Rebecca Beardsmore was promoted to Senior HR Generalist - UK on 1st September 2021 and now looks after both the Bridgwater and Milton Keynes sites. "I started working for Waddington Europe (at that time Deltaform Ltd.) in 2013 where I joined as the HR/Payroll Assistant. When the company was taken over by Waddington Europe I noticed the passion they had for growing and bringing the best out of their employees by way of support, study and training."
Within the first year, I was able to start my CIPD level 3 qualification to provide me with more knowledge in the HR function. This gave me a lot more confidence in dealing with HR issues, but also a better understanding of the day-to-day HR processes.
After completing my qualification, I was promoted to HR Generalist for the Bridgwater site. This role came with more responsibility as I was the sole HR contact on-site, and also looking after the performance and reward function for all Waddington Europe sites as well as running the UK payroll. The company gave me the opportunity to study for my CIPD level 5 at college to support me in my new role. I completed this in 2020 and graduated in 2021. After being in my role for a year, the company promoted me to Senior HR Generalist – UK where I gained responsibility for our other UK site at Milton Keynes. I am proud to be part of what the HR team have achieved so far and looking forward to what we can achieve in the future.
