Waddington Europe Covid-19 Statement
As a valued member of our supply chain, I would like to update you on what Waddington® Europe is doing to assist you and all our partners both past and present in these difficult times, and how we are addressing the Covid-19 situation.
Proud To Be Part Of The Essential Key Worker Community
The government has recognised anyone involved in food production, processing, distribution, sale and delivery as well as those essential to the provision of other key goods (for example hygienic and veterinary medicines) as key workers. We are proud to be a part of this group and we will do everything within our power to keep our three facilities running so that we can deliver the products that you need.
Health and Safety Is Our Upmost Priority
We are following all government guidelines, as well as guidelines from the CDC in conjunction with our USA based parent company, Novolex. These guidelines are reviewed daily, via conference calls across the group. Changes are implemented immediately as new requirements and best practices are identified.
A working from home policy has been implemented for our sales teams and second tier support staff, and clear procedures for self-isolation or quarantine are in place. Hygiene and cleaning procedures have been reevaluated and frequency has been increased. External visitors and sub-contractors are no longer permitted on any of the sites and even our own staff cannot move between sites. Contacts have been established with Covid-19 certified cleaning companies and preparations for a quick response action plan has been put in place in case of a Covid-19 positive test event.
